Why Choose Solid State Electric Heaters?
Convected and Radiant Heat
Non-solid state radiators work through convected heat – they draw cold air up from the floor, warm it as it passes through the radiator and then release the warm air up towards to the ceiling to then heat your room.
With a solid state radiator, you get the same convect heat, but you also get radiant heat – the same type of heat you feel from the sun. This helps you to feel more warm, more quickly and you can often turn the thermostat down by 1 or 2 degrees while still feeling warm in your room.
Save Energy
Clay tablets in solid state heaters , especially with high levels of aluminium oxide, warm up extremely quickly and retain heat for long periods of time after they stop drawing power, maintaining their radiant heat.
This means you use less energy as your heater can come on later and go off earlier than a non-solid state heater and still keep you comfortable in your home.
Reliability
Being solid state means that there are no moving parts within the heater and so there isn’t much that can go wrong. This makes solid state heaters very reliable and long-lasting. That’s why Econowarmth radiators come with a 5-year warranty and Sunflow radiators come with a 10-year warranty.
Non-solid state systems tend to have lots of moving parts and so there are lots of different things that could go wrong. That’s why 4 million boilers breakdown each year in the UK.
